Hypercalcaemia
A condition in which the calcium levels are elevated in the blood.
Causes
• Abnormal parathyroid gland function• Tumor• Vitamin D disorder• Renal failure• Other disorders– Hyperthyroidism– Paget's disease– Thiazide
Signs & Symptoms
• constipation • Moans• Bone pains• Kidney stones • Depression• Confusion• Anorexia• Increase urination
treatments
• Flush excess calcium from body• Rehydrate • Hemodalysis• Surgery• Reduce bone resorbtion
Glycosuria
•Refers to sugar or glucose in the urine
Glycosuria
• Is reclaimed by kidneys and filtered into bloodstream
Causes
• Untreated diabetes• Glucose reabsorption• Renal glycosuria
