Catastrophes in Japan
EARTHQUAKEOn Friday, 11 March 2011 there was the
worst earthquake in the history of Japan (9.0 magnitude with a duration of 2 minutes).
The earthquake epicenter was underwater in the east of Sendai.
This earthquake occurred where the Pacific plate and the North American plate are together.
TSUNAMIAfter the earthquake and its aftershocks, the
government alerted the population of a big wave that was coming from the epicenter of the eatrhquake.
The Tsunami wasn’t only threatening the eastcoast of japan, it was expected to crash with other countries: New Zeland, Australia, Rusia, the westcoast of almost all america,...
After the earthquake, the aftershocks and the tsunami, there are approximately 13.116 deaths and 14.377 missing people.
The nuke problemAfter the earthquake, there was a big
problem in a nuke plant (Fukushima) when the emergency reactors where broken by the tsunami.
When some elements of the nuclear energy mix with others like the hydrogen it’s dangerous and when it happened there was an explosion that broke parts of the building and some radiation was released.
The government obligated to evacuate the people who was in danger more than 30 km far away of the plant and still now the professionals are trying to solve that problem.
