Bake Sale @ Von’s
On May 19, our club held a bake sale
in front of Von’s. Although only a
few members attended we still
fundraised over $100! Sweets that
were sold included: (a lot) of
cupcakes, cookies, pumpkin bread,
marble cake, and lemon cake. Our
club raised money not only from the
treats, but also through kind
donations simply given by people just
passing by.

We also had our hardships that day.
Our school’s Sophomore Class
Officers (SOCO) was also having a
bake sale the same day on the opposite
exit. People passing by saying, “Oh,
maybe on the way out I’ll buy
something,” would see SOCO’s table
and think they were part of the same
cause. However, that did not stop our
members from completely selling out
and raising a large amount of money.
An array of treats laid out for display.

Member Recognition
Officer of the Month:
Kirsten Gin
Kirsten Gin is one heck of a Treasurer! Not only
does she serve our club with countless hours of
dedication towards keeping track of our money, she also
attends as many service events as she possibly can. The
service event that is practically part of her Sunday
morning routine is Men’s and Women’s breakfast,
which
takes place every Sunday at 8 A.M. at the Fraternal
Order of Eagles.
Member of the Month:
Janella Santiago
Last term, Janella has been quite busy because of
her participation in the All State Honor Choir. Much
of her
free time was spent practicing with this group, thus,
allowing her to not participate in as many key club
events. However, this month Janella attended the Of-
ficer
Training Conference in order to start the new term
strong
and to learn more about the club we serve.
