Dynapac’s New FC Series Pavers Mean Less ReloadingDynapac North America upgrades com-

mercial class paver range with the newFC1700C, FC1400 II, and FC1300 II. Thenew pavers are equipped with EPA Tier IVFinal certified emissions regulations-com-pliant engines and offer new features thattakes the Dynapac commercial class paverrange to the next level. The launch of thenew FC1700 took place at the NationalPavement Expo in Nashville, Tenn. The FC1700C replaces the previous

FC1600C model. Although equipped withthe larger 120 hp Tier IV Final CumminsQSB3.8 l engine, the FC1700C hood pro-file is not compromised offering best inclass visibility to the hopper. The lowerconveyor dumping height and larger 9.5-ton (8.6 t) hopper capacity increasespaving distance by a third before reloadingthe hopper is necessary. The wider 14 in.(35.5 cm) track pads further improvestraction when paving on soft surfaces byreducing the ground pressure.New operator controls are more intu-

itive and include individual color displayson both consoles. The screed heat and thepile height controls are integrated in thedisplays for ease of operation. The“Pave/Resume” feature is unique andbrings the automatic feed and travel func-

tions to the previous state when stoppedfor truck exchange.The Dynapac FC1400C II is the second

generation of mid-size Dynapac commer-cial class pavers now offered with a 74 hpTier IV Final Cummins QSB2.8 Engine.The new engine does not require a DEFsystem making it simple to maintain and

operate. Improvements in ease of opera-tion and maintenance include a new colordisplay on the control panel providingvital engine codes.Performance is enhanced with the

VF0814 screed now offered with standardelectric heating, an upgrade to the gas-heated version from the previous genera-

tion. The fail-safe electric heat system isdesigned from the larger FC1700C modelwith 12 kW generator attached directly tothe diesel engine for increased efficiencyand faster heat cycle. The heavy duty3,200 lb. (1,451 kg) VF0814 screed offersbest in class density and mat quality,reducing the need for multiple roller pass-es. The screed mounted four auger systemmakes the 14-ft. (4.2 m) paving widthseamless.Closing out the new commercial paver

range, upgrades to the Dynapac FC1300CII include a Kubota D1505, 24 hp Tier IVFinal engine. This tilt hopper paver withindependent flow gates is perfect for smalldriveway or patching jobs.
