Hello and welcome to the Death or Glory Tournament 2 (DoG-2) rulespack. Following the success of
DoG-1 we are endeavoring to expand and improve the tournament. DoG-2 will be an 82 player
tournament.
DoG-2 will be held at the Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall which is in Ashtead, Surrey, England (please
note this is not the same location as DoG-1, we needed a bigger venue for DoG-2).
DoG-2 will be run at the points limit of 1850 and once again games will last 2 hours 45 minutes.
Profits from the tournament will be split between Cancer Research UK and funding the next DoG
tournament.

As you can see from the map, the event is very close to Ashtead train station. (10 minute walk)
Its also very easy to find being just off the M25 junction 9. The hall itself is opposite a Pub and there
is plenty of parking available at the hall itself. Parking on Saturday is 6 for the whole day and free
on Sunday.
Were looking into holding a social event, however if youre not into that sort of thing, there are
many lovely restaurants in the local area you can frequent.
If youre staying overnight look for hotels in Leatherhead or Epsom.
If you have any questions on how to get to the event or accommodation and evening meal ideas,
please contact us at [email protected]

Lists need to be submitted for DoG-2 prior to the event. Each player must send
a single email containing their list by Midnight on Saturday March 1st 2014 to:
This list mustbe written in the standard format presented at the end of this rulespack. This is to ease
list checking and aid in the release of the army list pack prior to the event.
Lists will be made public Monday 3rd March on the Death or Glory Blog.
www.deathorgloryblog.blogspot.com
Should a player be over fifteen minutes late or miss a battle for whatever reason, they will forfeit
that game. 0 points will be awarded to the late player. A full 30 point win will be awarded to their
opponent.
DoG-2 will have a random first round draw. The draw will be revealed on the Death or Glory
facebook page just after the list submission deadline. This will also detail which table you will be
playing on.
www.facebook.com/deathorgloryblogpodcast
Subsequent draws will be based on the swiss system using the generalship score. This will ensure
the best player plays the second best and so on and makes sure that players are fighting opponents
relevant to them overall in the generalship standings.
The terrain will be pre-determined by the tournament organisers before the event. If you get to a
table and the terrain looks strange call a Referee over to re-set it for you. At the beginning of the
game you and your opponent should discuss the terrain laid out on the table. The majority of terrain
will be ruins or wooded areas and area terrain. However, if there is something weird on the board,
and you both agree to play that terrain piece as something else, by all means go ahead.

The following process should be used to start each game; this order overrides the process
described in the rule book.
1. Discuss terrain and decide types as per the terrain section of this rules pack.;
2. Each player rolls a D6, starting with the player who rolled highest place objectives using
the rules from the 6th edition rule book (page 121);
3. Each player roll a D6, the player with the highest roll chooses their table half as per page
119 of the 6th edition rule book.;
4. Starting with the player who rolled highest place any Fortifications ;
5. Nominate warlord and determine traits (page 111);
6. Generate psychic powers if required.;
7. Roll for Night Fight;
8. Player should now roll a D6 again to determine who will deploy their force first. The highest roll
can choose to deploy first or second. Whoever deploys first will take first turn.;
9. Once both forces have deployed, along with any infiltrators and scout moves, the player
going second can attempt to seize the initiative.; finally
10. Play game have fun!
The eternal war missions and battlefield set-ups will be used over the weekend (as per the
Rule book) and they will be announced at the start of each round.
Mission: Crusade
Mission: Purge the Alien
Mission: Big guns never tire
Mission: The Scouring
Missions: The Emperors Will & the Relic*
*Note: both The Emperors Will and The Relic will be played during the same game. giving 3
Objectives worth 3VP each and The Relic retains all Relic rules as found on Pg. 131.

Although there is only one tournament taking place, there will be two DoG-2 champions.
The winner of the event will be determined by the generalship score.
A wins gets you 25 tournament points, you get 12 for a draw and nothing for a loss.
However for the purposes of our event do not include the secondary objectives to see who won the
game. Instead Secondary objectives award Bonus points. First blood gives 1 bonus point whereas
Linebreaker and slay the warlord give you 2pts.
For example: Fred Savage plays Paul Watson at Crusade 4 objectives. The result ends up with Fredand Paul both having 1 objective, Paul Scoring first blood and Fred getting Linebreaker and Slay the
Warlord.
The result would end as a draw (12 each) Paul would earn an additional 1 point and Fred would earn
an additional 4. The end result would be Paul getting 13 generalship points and Fred getting 16
generalship points.
Fill out the tournament score on the slip provided and hand this into us after each game.
As such the maximum you can get for generalship is 150 points. Victory points will be used for any
ties.
The winner of the Hobby Champion award will be determined by 3 scores.
1) Generalship: 150 points available
2) Painting: 150 tournament points available
3) Sportsmanship: 75 tournament points available
Giving you a total tournament score of up to 375 points.
Victory points scored will be used in the event of a tie-break at the end of the Event.

Everyone enjoys playing against nicely painted armies, especially if you have put the effort
into your own army. During day one your army will be assessed for the painting score.
There is a minimum standard of 3 colours. Playing with unpainted models is not allowed and you will
be asked to remove these.
Please be aware every model in your army is judged this includes Fortifications and newly
spawned/summoned models; if even only one model fails to meet a criteria you will score 0
for that section.
3 colours (10) EVERY model has a minimum of 3 colours on the model, these three colours should
be easily identifiable and should not require close inspection to identify.
Based (10) EVERY model is appropriately based and has some sort of basing applied such as
flock/sand etc.
WYSIWYG (10) EVERY model is appropriate for the model it represents, weapons are modelled and
are representative of what should be on the model (we will not be looking for grenades and other
small pieces of wargear but weapons will be judged).
Squad markings (10) it is possible to identify which models are from which unit, this may be due to
insignia on the model itself or by an easily identifiable strip of colour on the base.
Cohesive Scheme (15) the models follow a theme and look like a single army.
Detailed (20) every model has received further painting attention, eyes/lenses are painted, smalldetails are picked out, the model has received a minimum of 1 shade or highlight.
Conversions (20) either a large amount of the army (75%+) has some level of converting involved in
producing the models or a small amount of the army (25%+) has a significant amount of converting
involved in producing the models.
Fine details (20) EVERY model has had extensive additional detailing applied, the main areas of the
model (think SM power armour/guns etc) have at least one shade and two highlights, small areas
(SM eye lenses/purity seals etc) have at least one shade and one highlight.
Detailed bases (20) extra effort has been put into the basing of the army, 75%+ of the models have
impressive bases (additional texturing/battlefield debris etc).
Best Painting nomination (15) the army is shortlisted for the best army award.

After game 5, you will be asked to judge your 5 opponents, ranking the best three opponents from
1st
to 3rd
. 1st
is worth 15 points, 2nd
worth 10 points, and 3rd
worth 5 points. Please note that this will
only have bearing over the Hobby Champion result and not the Generalship Champion.
You are required to submit your army list to:[email protected]
Deadline for Army list entries: 23:59hrs, 1st March 2014
If your Army is late 30pts will be deducted from your generalship score.
