Wine in Bag in Box The Innovation •Consumers see wine as a regular part of a healthy diet.•They value the convenience of the package that delivers wine by the glass –not by the bottle –like in a restaurant. •It’s the package that preserves the freshness of wine for weeks after it has been opened.
Why consumers like wine in bag in box packaging
•The perfect package for wine that’s ready to be enjoyed on the spur of the moment.
•The secret is its ability to keep fresh wine “on tap”and ready to serve
Key consumer benefits
•Stays fresher longer
•Stores efficiently –perfect fit for refrigerators or cabinets
•Dispensers conveniently –no need for special tools
Key consumer benefits•Fits today’s casual lifestyle so it is easy to enjoy wine as a regular daily beverage
•Travels easily to picnics, parties and outings
•Safer than glass. Won’t break
How bag in box works• When pouring wine from a bottle, air
enters the bottle to replace the wine. However, when dispensing from the wine cask, the flexible bag collapses around the wine, so air is unable to enter the bag, thereby preventing oxidation.
• This means the last glass of wine tastes as fresh as the first, even if the package has been open for weeks
