ATLANTIS, PARADISE ISLAND OFFERS A WORLD OF ADVENTURE,

DISCOVERY AND EDUTAINMENT TO NASSAU’S YOUNGEST VACATIONERS

Imagine Atlantis, Paradise Island from the perspective of a child … an enormous underwater world of

sea creatures and “gazillions” of fish in magic marker colors; a total universe of fountains, waterfalls,

waterslides and swimming pools; buried treasures on beaches “as big as forever;” entire rooms full of

everything that’s delicious to eat; dazzling lights and fantastical shapes, huge intriguing spaces, new

friendships, hugs and instant smiles from strangers.

For kids, this is not just a resort or simply a “place” to play with Mom and Dad. Atlantis is an involving

journey: a wondrous expedition of the mind and imagination into fabulous new worlds to be explored

and understood. Young children experience life wholeheartedly, without filters or preconceptions or

caution. There may be no resort in the world better suited to that zest for discovery and pleasure than

Atlantis, with its incomparable ruins of ancient Atlantis populated by schools of sharks, rays and tropical

fish, its waterslides and water rides, its beaches and swimming pools, its remarkably diverse dining

experiences.

Atlantis Paradise Island unleashes educational entertainment (aka “edutainment”) experiences to

inspire and amaze young travelers everywhere they turn. A popular family beach destination, Atlantis is

home to a collection of offerings dedicated for children, including an imaginative and educational state-

of-the-art kid’s club; a 100,000-gallon water play area; and a tween and teen nightclub.

“Atlantis, Paradise Island is lauded by parents for our innovative children’s programming concepts that

take advantage of the destination’s spectacular natural habitat to stimulate a child’s imagination and

creativity,” said George Markantonis, President/Managing Director of Kerzner International Bahamas.

“Every parent has struggled with ‘my child is too short for the ride’- we aimed to solve that problem in a

big way by expanding on our amazing environment to create a one-of-a-kind island playground for kids.”

Adjacent to the iconic Mayan Temple, the Splashers children’s water play area and pool provides a

world of thrills for children under 54 inches tall and their parents. The action is at the elaborate Mayan-

themed water play structure featuring 2 enclosed spiral body slides, 1 open spiral body slide, and a

child-friendly version of the famous side-by-side Mayan Temple Challenger slide. It also features cargo

nets and rope bridges for climbing and water cannons, fountains and water wheels for endless soaking.

Overhead, a 320 gallon bucket regularly showers vacationers below with 8,000 gallons of water every hour.

Splashers is designed with the youngest in mind. With a maximum depth of 3 feet, parents vacationing

at the Paradise Island resort won’t need to worry about keeping certain areas off limits. Parents are

encouraged to join their children in all the activities, except for the slides. The fun continues on land

with Atlantis Kids Adventures (AKA), a 8,000 square-foot state-of-the-art supervised kid’s club, offering

age-appropriate adventure, play, exploration and educational programs for resort guests ages 3 -12.

Opened in December 2009, the programming at Atlantis Kids Adventures allows children, tweens and

teens to choose their own adventure on Paradise Island, with staff Adventure Guides available to help
