TOPIC – SOLID, LIQUID AND GAS
STATES OF MATTER
Matter exists in different forms. The forms differ from each
other with respect to the number of molecules present in the
same space.
Matter exists in three states- solid, liquid and gas.
For example-
Water can exist in three different forms – ice, water and
steam.
Ice is the solid state.
MATTER
SOLID LIQUID GAS
Water is the liquid state.
Steam is the gaseous state.
Examples of solid- ice, bricks, wood, watch etc.
Examples of liquid- juice, water, oil, milk, vinegar etc.
Examples of gas- steam, smog, oxygen etc.
