Flooring in The Computer Room
All computer server rooms need to have raised flooring.
They have a lot of ducts, wiring and cables running, so to
cover it up they usually have these cables running under
the floor.
The floors in these computer rooms are raised to a
height of 2 inches to above 4 feet.
This height depends on the volume of the cables and
other services provided underneath
There is also a cooling system for under the raised
floor which pulls in air from the room and circulates
underneath.
Access floors are covered with panels of
different variety of flooring finishes.
It may be carpets, wood veneers, cork, or
rubber hard tile finishes.
When there is raised floor in a room there
should be floor access panel.
Using raised floor system keeps the office or
the computer room neat without the clutter of
cables and other wires.
