Adventures in ShoppingGreater Miami and the Beaches is a destination made for shopping. An exciting mix of haute couture, retail markets, designer boutiques and bargain outlets test the stamina of even the most dedicated shopper. Adjacent to PortMiami is Bayside Marketplace, an open-air shopping and entertainment center. You can shop for colorful souvenirs here, dine at one of the restaurants including Hard Rock Miami, or take one of several sightseeing cruises that depart from Bayside on a regular schedule. Double-decker bus tours of the city also depart from Bayside.

Other shopping options close to the Port include Downtown Miami, with assorted shops and numerous fine jewelry stores. Easily reachable from PortMiami by a 15-minute taxi ride or via the Metromover are Mary Brickell Village, an enclave of open-air shops and restaurants; and Brickell City Centre, a luxury mixed-use development. On South Beach, you can choose from designer shopping along Collins and Washington avenues, Española Way, Ocean Drive or the historic and always bustling Lincoln Road promenade.

Visit ShopMiami.travel to find out more about shopping in Greater Miami and the Shop Miami Program.

One Day in MiamiIf your schedule only allows for one day in Miami, don’t fret. You can enjoy a few highlights and still get the flavor of this wonderful, fun-filled city. The Art Deco Historic District in South Beach is a must-see. Stop by the Art Deco Welcome Center at 10th Street and Ocean Drive for information and self-guided walking tours. Jump on a double-decker bus tour from Bayside Marketplace for a chance to see Miami’s interesting neighborhoods like Little Havana, Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and South Beach. Grab lunch at an outdoor cafe or take a Miami food tour to sample ethnic specialties. Culture vultures can check out one of Miami’s many top-notch museums, such as nearby Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, or see what’s on the playbill at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Check the Calendar of Events at MiamiandBeaches.com for the latest happenings. Family Fun From sandy beaches to exotic animals and cool pools, Miami is full of family-friendly fun. Tropical attractions, children’s theater and super cool museums are waiting to be explored. Quiet parks, nature walks, Everglades adventures and water activities abound. Free fun includes the beach, along with concerts at Bayfront Park, art walks, free museum days and Metromover—the elevated rail that loops around Downtown Miami offering bird’s eye views of the city. Visit CultureShockMiami.com for student discounts to cultural events.

Tantalizing TreatsMiami’s international flair, seaside locale and fresh, local produce add up to unforgettable dining experiences. New World cuisine tantalizes with dishes featuring eclectic combinations of tropical fruits and exotic spices. Ethnic delights can be found around every corner of our multicultural city. Local chefs create mouthwatering new taste sensations in settings ranging from poolside to palatial. Greater Miami and the Beaches is truly a gourmet adventure.

Sizzling NightsSultry by day, the city gets even steamier by night when the clubs, lounges and other late-night spots invite revelers to party the night away. Slip into something black and sexy, and check out the nightclubs. Dance under the stars, immerse yourself in the city’s internationally renowned nightlife, and party into the wee hours. Life’s a party—especially when you’re on vacation!

Attractions GaloreFew places in the world have it all. But Greater Miami and the Beaches definitely does. Miami is an attraction itself. Miami is also home to a bevy of unique and historic family-friendly attractions. What makes Miami attractions so amazing to visitors? A selection as diverse as our people.

Attractions that offer countless choices—from Old World to adventuresome, natural to man-made. Pastel-colored buildings. Authentic Indian villages. Animal and botanical sanctuaries. Swimming with dolphins. Hand-feeding parrots. Glass-bottom boats. Boats on air. Mangrove creeks. A River of Grass. In fact, Miami is the only place in the U.S. with two national parks—Everglades National Park and Biscayne National Park—as well as access to Big Cypress National Reserve and Dry Tortugas National Park. Choose one activity —or get a sampling on the Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing tour offered by Big Bus Tours—a valued partner of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau in our cruise program.
