Dehydration can lead to some serious issues… Heat Injury, Urinary and Kidney Problems,
Seizures, and Low Blood Volume Shock.
CrossFit Fireground Community 1. Rounding your back at the bottom of the squat can be
bad news as the air squat is the fundamental which leads to the front squat and overhead squat. Squeezing your tummy will put you in the right position.
2. Initiating the squat with your hips going forward first can lead to a lot of back pain because you are over ex-tended. Hips should descend back and down to put you in the right position.
3. Not reaching depth could be due to an injury, lack of mobility or flexibility. To improve this, set-up a target and consistently hit that depth.
4. Knees going forward can lead to an injury real quick, especially with heavy load. The knees should be in line with your toes. The coach can help here by placing their hand on the outside of your knee and having you push it out.
5. Initiating the squat with your knees will put the weight on your toes, it will throw your hips forward, and can be damaging to your joints as well. Start with the hips descending back and down first.
6. If the weight is on your toes, wiggle your toes and make sure the weight is on the heels.
