Materiality Analysis
Management Approach:
Identifying Sustainability issues of critical importance is essential for developing a focused
and comprehensive sustainability strategy for our company. Therefore, it became necessary
to institutionalize a process for identifying the material sustainability issues and challenges for
the company and its stakeholders. The intent of setting up such a method is to deliberate
and focus keenly on the issues that impact us and our surroundings and which would also
create the path for future growth.
Our Process of Identifying Material
Aspects
A laundry list of material issues was prepared by KPMG in consultation with the senior
management at Genext Precision. The factors considered while listing down material issues
were; media reporting, internal review, external peer review, sector specific standards and
regulations and research on wider social and environmental trends and challenges.
Stakeholder’s were identified and prioritized based on their influence on Genext Precision
and Genext Precision’s Impact on the stakeholders. Employees, Customers, Suppliers,
Investors and local community were the key stakeholders considered in this study.
The internal and external stakeholders (except community) ranked the material issues on a
scale of 1 – 6 (where 1; very low, 2: low, 3: medium; 4: high, 5: very high and 6 is not
applicable) based on the impact and importance of the material issue for Genext Precision.
The local community’s feedback on material issues was taken and incorporated though one
to one interactions.
We arrived at the top five material issues for the Genext Precision by a scoring methodology,

senior management. The Identified aspects were considered to be material and the report
content is based on these material issues.

Initiatives
We provide continuous training and learning sessions to our workforce that helps them hone
their skills in their area of expertise as our employees are major contributors to the growth of
our company. Training is being provided on various topics related to employee benefits,
employee engagements and occupational Health and Safety.

Occupational Health and Safety:
Any manufacturing company faces issues related to workmen safety. Hence, it becomes a
necessity to provide a healthy and safe working environment and also form strategies
related to assisting workforce members or their families regarding such hazards and risks etc.
In FY 2014-15 we did not encounter any case of reported injuries, occupational disease and
fatality which makes us believe that the zero injury target is achievable and make us feel
satisfied that we are not lacking in our approach towards health and safety of our
employees.
We conduct regular fire Mock Drill every six months to train the workmen and all the staff on
the emergency preparedness during any even of fire breakout in the organization. It mainly
focuses on the use of fire extinguisher.
This year we have conducted two fire mock drills in the months of September 2014 and
February 2015

Health Awareness Session 1
We are very particular about the health of our
employees and we take their wellbeing as our
prime responsibility. We keep regular check on
the updates over any health issues in the
company as well as any epidemic diseases in
the society which can impact them. This
initiative taken by us helps build us trust among
the employees that we care for them.
This year had been disastrous for many people
worldwide as swine flu created allot of health
issues and even took many lives in our country.
Hence we took “Swine Flu” as a topic for
employee health and safety training. In Nasik
city also swine flu created a havoc by taking
the death toll to 17 this year.
We consulted civil hospitals in the Nasik city
for gaining detailed information on swine flu
and prepared posters to display this
information to our employees. This created
an awareness among our employees about
the disease and its preventive measures.

Health Awareness Session 2
Most of our workmen/ contract labourers are
uneducated, poor and unmarried which puts
them at high risk of contracting HIV Aids.
Since our considerable amount of workforce
includes contractual workforce, we took it as
our responsibility to make them aware of the
Aids.
Hence we arranged a training session
through which the labourers gained insight
on reasons and preventive measures to
avoid this deadly disease. This session was an
open forum discussion which brought out all
the related queries of the labours and our
officials helped them get resolved.

Health Awareness Session 3
A good work environment is always a
motivation for employees. Considering the
type of processes at our manufacturing
facilities and the work pressure on our
employees we have always maintained a
stress free work environment for them. We
arrange compulsory morning exercise
sessions for all our employees to keep them fit
and energetic throughout the day.
This session keeps employees healthy as well
as increases their work efficiency.
Also, since safety is of prime importance to us,
we provide PPE’s to all our workmen and
after everyday workout we keep a small
training session on importance and use of
PPE’s. This ensures us the regular and proper
use of the given PPE’s by our employees and
contractors.

CONTRIBUTING TO SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Management Approach
Working along with our communities to support their development, alleviating their concerns
and at the same time minimizing potential impacts of our operations has been identified as a
long-term way to create a sustainable overall growth for the company as well as create a
positive image of the company in the minds of all our stakeholders as well as the public in
general.
As an organization that creates significant economic value through its operations, we
believe in showing commitment to various community development initiatives as these local
communities are in a way major contributors to our success by providing us raw materials,
manpower and other support during the processes at our manufacturing facilities.
Working towards their significant concerns and issues and handling or managing them not
only shall prove to contribute towards their overall development but also add to our
profitability in one way or the other.
Community Event Identification of the ‘right’ programs for social
or community development to have maximum
benefits is of critical importance to us.
The general procedure followed a Genext
Precision is to conduct need-identification by
interacting one to one with the local people
followed by discussions and feedback
suggestions.
This year we have taken our first few initiaves
towards our responsibility for nearby
communities. As a community service we
opted to support our PM Mr. Narendra Modi in
his “Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan” and we
made all our employees participate in this
event.
We had conducted a cleanliness drive in our
factory premises and nearby Ganesh Nagar.
Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan
Looking at the unavailability of drinking water at Sinnar, we provided drinking water facility at
Sinnar ghat for locals. Adhar Ashram students were lacking proper seating arrangements,
hence we provided that facility for the students. Although it’s a starting year for us we will
continue to increase our efforts in coming years.
