Certificate in Condominium Management (Non-‐Credit) 16 Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
Certificate Requirements
This program provides new and experienced residential and commercial condominium managers with the information, knowledge and skills required for successful condominium management.
The non-‐credit certificate in Condominium Management requires the successful completion of the 4 required courses each with a value of 4 CEUs for a total 16 CEUs. All four required courses are offered in English and in French.

Admission Requirements
• Students must be at least 18 years of age and must hold a CEGEP diploma (Diploma of Collegial Studies in Quebec (DEC)) or equivalent; or
• Students who are 21 years of age and over but do not have the conventional basis for admission such as a high school or CEGEP diploma may be admitted as mature students.
• Students below 18 years of age will not be admitted to any non-‐credit Professional Development Certificate program, nor will they be permitted to take individual courses.

Academic Standing Requirements
In order to be eligible for graduation, students must complete all required courses with a minimum grade of 65% in each course in order to obtain the Certificate in Condominium Management. Students who have an unsatisfactory grade for at least 1 course in the program will not be eligible to receive their Certificate. Students who fail to obtain the minimum grade of 65% will instead receive an Attestation of Participation. A minimum attendance of 75% in all courses is required.
Advanced Standing
No advanced standing will be granted for this certificate.
Prerequisites
There are no formal course pre-‐requisites; however, it is strongly recommended to start the program with the Condominium Law course (CBUS102).
Time Limits
To obtain the certificate, all required courses in the program must be completed within 2 (two) years of initial registration. Students who wish to exceed the time limit must make a written request to the Director of the department. Students who do not register for any course in their micro-‐program for 2 (two) years will be required to reapply and meet any new program requirements.
Transfer of Courses
All courses in this non-‐credit certificate program are not transferable to any credit program.

Condominium Financial Management CBUS 100 -‐ (4 CEUs)
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Gain the knowledge and skills required to successfully manage all financial aspects of a condominium. The course will explain the responsibilities of the property manager in budgeting, preparation of financial statements, collection, development of a reserve fund, cash-‐flow planning, preparation for audit and investments. Working knowledge of Excel is required.

COURSE LECTURER Prof Jassim is an Architect (OAQ), Chartered Administrator of Quebec (ADMA), and Member of The Royal Architecture Institute of Canada (MRAIC). He possesses a Bachelor of Engineering Architecture and a Master of Urban Planning, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Management from McGill University (Finance Major), and has completed the course requirements for the Ph.D. program in the Faculté d'aménagement de l'Université de Montréal, which included exchange courses at UCLA. He has over 20 years of diversified experience in project management, real estate and investment, offering services to both public and private institutions. Prof. Jassim is an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Engineering McGill University. He teaches courses in Managerial Corporate Finance, Real Estate Investment, Managerial Economics and Engineering Economics at McGill University, John Molson School of Business (Concordia) and at New York Institute of Technology (in association with the University of Chicago, the London School of Economics, the Columbia Business School, as well as Stanford and Carnagie Mellon Universities).
