County Offices — Agriculture Resource Guide 1
Compiled by
Updated October 2019
This agriculture resource guide is a wonderful tool for anyone interested in agriculture to have on hand. Not only will you be able to find local agriculture service providers in your counties and regions, but you will also have a direct contact for each of the organizations listed. The guide will help you find local service providers, organizations that serve at the state and national levels, and also membership organizations that provide a great service to their members.
The guide is broken down into four different categories to make it easier to find the information you are looking for: County, Regional, State and National.
The COUNTY category includes organizations that serve specific to a single county. The counties are in alphabetical order from A to Z. The easiest way to use this portion of the resource guide is to find the county in which you are operating and look through the organizations that serve your county.
The REGIONAL category includes those organizations that provide services to agricultural producers in multiple counties throughout West Virginia. These organizations are listed in alphabetical order from A to Z and include a point of contact for each organization, as well as services they provide.
The STATE category includes organizations that serve agricultural producers in a statewide capacity and commonly have employees stationed in or serving various regions of the state. As with the other sections, the State category is listed in alphabetical order with a representative for each of the organizations listed.
The NATIONAL category includes organizations that have a presence in several states/regions or a nationwide mission. Many of these organizations are specific associations/membership organizations with very specific goals for members. The organizations, along with a point of contact, are listed alphabetically.
This resource guide aims to provide as much information and a comprehensive list of organizations to the agricultural producer as possible; however, it is likely that this guide has overlooked some resources, including service-providing organizations. If you are aware or are a part of an organization that wishes to be included, please contact West Virginia State University Extension Service at [email protected] with the organization’s information, services offered and contact information to be added to the guide.
