Happy New Year to all and here is to a very successful and fun 2014. I hope you all had a great holiday season and I hope to see you all, new and old, at my upcoming events. The new event schedule is posted and I would like to thank those of you that have volunteered to help out. I would like to introduce myself for those of you I have not had the chance to meet. My name is James Life and I live aboard with my wife Julie and my daughter Casey who is 13 at this time. I am looking forward to meeting new people and making new memories with you all. I would like to thank P/C Paul Quinn and of course his lovely wife Patty for paving the way for my Commodore-ship. I hope to serve you well and will do my best to do so. I am also looking forward to working with my Vice Commodore Mike Burke and his wife Sue, my Rear Commodore Mary Scott and her husband Brian, as well as the rest of the Rock Star Board of Directors. Thank you to all of you that have stepped up, from Hosts and Co-hosts, to Past Commodores and current Board Members to
support me to have a successful and fun year. I would like to give a special thanks to P/C Al Heerensperger for his efforts producing the HHYC Newsletter for the past eight years. He is retiring as newsletter editor and advertising guru and P/C Paul Quinn has generously, yet temporarily, taken this on as well as taking care of our website. So thank you to you both. I am looking forward to seeing/meeting you all that attend the Commodores Ball at the Embassy Suites on January 11th to thank P/C Paul for a great 2013 and to shove me off the plank for a fun 2014 cruising season. Dust off your Tuxes and Ball Gowns and put on them dancing shoes and dance the night away. It should be a heck of a night and whole lot of fun! As we move to the New Year we will continue to hold our monthly meetings at the Eastlake Bar and Grill. I have locked us in with a pretty sweet deal through March. We will be able to have the full menu upstairs. I have chosen to keep the meetings there to keep things consistent with the hope of the Rock Salt re-opening. Be safe and let’s have some fun!!

Thanks Al Thanks AL I would like to say thank you to Al Heerensperger for his dedication and service in producing, editing , mailing and overseeing the HHYC Newsletter for the last, well, many, many years. I believe that we have all enjoyed receiving and reading the newsletter which enables those who are not able to attend the meetings or events on a regular ba-sis to stay informed as to the ongoing activities of the club. Patty and I, for sure, have enjoyed the newsletter each and every month. Good luck in your retirement, Al! Maybe we’ll see you at more events. Signed, TheTemporary Replacement!
