This project will stabilize and rehabilitate portions of the York River shoreline. The stability of Colonial Parkway is threatened without repairs to the steep shoreline slopes adjacent to the Parkway. The project includes: placement of stone to construct rock sills, breakwaters, and revetments; steep slope stabilization (some sheet pile wall); and native revegetation and wetland planting.

open during construction, thus contract activities and logistics must be structured and scheduled to minimize impact to visitors.
• The site requires protective measures to ensure surrounding sensitive resource areas remain undisturbed.
• There are “in water” work restrictions from Feb 15 – June 30 during the construction season.
• Winter construction is anticipated.
