Mantra #5. Have a good study plan. Asthe exam pattern is being changed withthe introduction of CSAT, it is better tocomplete the entire portions of theMains (GS plus 2 Optional or at least 1optional) before January 2011. FromJanuary, your entire time should beearmarked for the CSAT.

Mantra #6. Post CSAT, the preparationshould be continued without any break.The following five months will be morecrucial than the months prior to theCSAT and the preparation should be atfull momentum. After the main exam,interview preparation should bestarted.

Mantra #7. There will be lots oftemptation to give up the journey, asyou progress in the preparation. This ismainly due to the huge syllabus and theaccumulating pressure.
