Cobalt’s Aquarium, Goldfish, and Hermit Crab Salts are naturally derived solar salts that are used to help reduce stress of freshwater fish and support a healthy life of hermit crabs. Cobalt Aquarium salt helps fish “slime up” and replenishes natural electrolytes that can be easily lost when fish are stressed. If the tank water quality is not ideal and nitrite is present, the use of Cobalt Aquarium salt will temporarily block the toxic effects of nitrite to the fish until the water quality can be improved. Unlike table salt, Cobalt Aquarium salt contains no artificial color or iodine and contains calcium chloride magnesium chloride, mag-nesium sulfate, and sodium chloride.
