Obituary
I watched you suffer, day by day;
It caused me bitter grief;
To see you slowly pine away;
And could not give relief.
Your weary hours and days of pain;
Your troubled nights are past;
And in my aching heart I know;
You have found sweet rest at last.
'Tis sweet to know we will meet again;
Where parting is no more;
And my dear husband I loved so well;
Has only gone before.
God knows how much I miss you;
He counts the tears I shed;
And whispers, "Hush, he only sleeps;
Your husband is not dead."
Some day, some time, my years shall see;
The face I loved so well.
Some day, some time, your hand I'll clasp;
And never say farewell.
The pearly gates were opened;
A gentle voice said "Come,"
And with farewells unspoken;
You gently entered home.
Your smiling way and pleasant face;
Are a pleasure to recall;
You had a kindly word for each;
And died beloved by all.
Some day I hope to meet you;
Some day, I know not when;
To clasp your hand in the better land;
Never to part again.
To My Beloved Husband,
Love Gail

It broke my heart to lose you,
But you did not go alone.
A part of me went with you,
The day God took you home.
If tears could build a stairway,
And heartaches make a lane,
I'd walk my way to heaven,
And bring you back again.
In life I loved you dearly
In death I love you still
In my heart you hold a place
No one could ever feel.
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
The Broken Chain
Perhaps you aren't ready yet
To have to say good-bye
Perhaps you've thought of things
You wish you had said well so have I
For one thing I'd have told you
Not to worry about me
I'm with the Lord in Heaven now
You knew that's where I'd be
I'm sorry that you are feeling sad,
For I'm so happy now
I've asked the Lord to ease the hurt
And comfort you somehow
It's hard at the beginning
But I know you'll make it through
I Hope it helps to know
That I'll be waiting here for you.

A Message from Heaven
We hold onto the memories
The ones that are so dear
To try to keep you always close
Now you are not here
You were called, it was your time
But it is so true
You have left a legacy
There was no one like you
You were very special
And we want to say
We feel lost in many ways
You are not here today
But we will never forget you
And we know we have been blessed
To have you for our brother
Because you were the best.

There is a Native American quote that states “The day you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life so that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice”.
The family of Mr. Christopher Smith wishes to say thank you to everyone who sent a card, called with a kind word, sent food
or monetary donations, perhaps a beautiful floral arrangement or donated your time to help the family through
this difficult time. We all feel truly blessed to have known him and we cry for our loss but rejoice in his/her new
place in Heaven.
