2020 Volunteer Opportunities
It is the begging of a new year and the bulletin board next to the teachers supply room has volunteer positions available. I am challenging you all to sign up for something. For example if you made a New Years resolution to get to know your Church family better, you could be a greeter. I have found this is a easy way to get to know others better. Do you have a washer? You could take the church laundry home to wash. Would you like to prepare the communion for a month? Or maybe you could host one of our monthly potlucks. Potlucks are fun and are such a great way to spend time with our Church family. We also have a bulletin board in the hallway that looks nice and welcoming when decorated. Kids can volunteer for most of these opportunities too. Take a look and sign up.
With Love in Christ, Rebekah
If you have any questions about these volunteer positions don't hesitate to ask me. I have more information in the office.

How You Are Established
A man is not established by wickedness, But the root of the righteous cannot be moved.
– Proverbs 12.3
People believe they can be established by wickedness, that is why they engage it, but watch their lives and you will see that in time their lives fall apart, even if they started out prospering and continued in that state for a long time. In the end, their wickedness will destroy them. However, watch the righteous. Life will throw all kinds of things at them, but they endure, truly, they get stronger and wiser as a result of life’s struggles. What does your life show you have been using to establish your life, wickedness or righteousness?
Ricky Gervais Is Not Your Friend Many rejoiced that Ricky Gervais blasted Hollywood this past week for its hypocrisy and lecturing to the rest of the country, but do not rejoice too much because he has already blasted you in the past and he will do it again. He is a Christian-mocking,
God-denying, foul-mouthed comedian. Sometimes even those kind of people speak the truth, which Mr. Gervais may have recently, but beware, he may come after your belief in God next.
Worry vs Prayer Worry is fretting over things that you can-not control; prayer placing things in the hand of the one who controls all things.
A Great Deception “The greatest deception men suffer is from their own opinions.” – Leonardo da Vinci
What Needs Adjusting? “Believers must never adjust the Bible to the age, but the age to the Bible.” – Charles Spurgeon
Pray for Laborers Lord of the harvest, the number of souls in our town who need reaping are many. Please send laborers in the harvest around us. (Based on Matthew 9.38.)
