The following recipes call for two pounds of meat or chicken. Feel free to double the amount of meat as desired but remember to double the remaining ingredients.

BEEF SHAWARMA

Ingredients:2 lbs beef loin top sirloin (or another type of lean meat)½ cup plain or low fat yogurt1/4 cup malt vinegar2 cloves crushed garlic1 teaspoon black pepper1½ teaspoon salt2 cardamom pods2 teaspoon allspiceJuice from 1 lemon½ teaspoon nutmeg

*Combine all of the ingredients with the meat and let it sit in the fridge for at least 45 minutes. It is best to marinate overnight.*

BEEF AND LAMB SHAWARMA
