PHASE 3 – 33rd Street South Side: Mid‐August to Early October

PHASE 4 – 33rd Street New Median: October to November

PHASE 5 – 33rd Street final paving: Project Complete in December 2019

ANTICIPATED PROJECT SCHEDULE

LATE‐MARCH 2019 to LATE‐MAY 2019

Construction Duration: 2 Months

PHASE 1: ST. PAUL STREET WEST SIDE 3100 & 3200 BLOCKS

Scope:

‐ Curb replacements, tree pit improvements, and electrical installations along the west side of St. Paul Street.

‐ Temporary signal installations at 31st, 32nd, and 33rd Street intersections.

Impacts:

‐ All sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians.  All businesses will be accessible.

‐ Parking lane closed on the west side of St. Paul Street, between 31st and 33rd Streets

‐ Two thru travel lanes will remain on St. Paul Street for southbound traffic.

‐ St. Paul Street northbound service lane, east side parking lane, and median parking lane will remain in service.

‐ No impacts to 33rd Street during this phase.

LATE‐MAY 2019 to JULY 2019

Construction Duration: 1.5 Months

PHASE 2A: ST. PAUL STREET EAST SIDE 3100 & 3200 BLOCKS/NORTH 

SIDE OF 33RD STREET

Scope:

‐ Curb replacements, tree pit improvements, and electrical installations along the east side of St. Paul Street between 31stand 33rd Streets, on the west side of St. Paul street in front of the bookstore, and on the north side of 33rd Street.

‐ Demolition of St. Paul Street median.

Impacts:

‐ All sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians.  All businesses will be accessible.

‐ St. Paul Street northbound service lane, east side parking lane, and median parking lane will be out of service.

‐ Two thru travel lanes will remain on St. Paul Street for southbound traffic.

‐ Parking lane on west side of St. Paul Street will be available.

‐ No parking along the north side of 33rd Street during this phase.  All travel lanes on 33rd Street will remain open.

JULY 2019 to MID‐AUGUST 2019

Construction Duration: 1.5 Months

PHASE 2B: NEW ST. PAUL STREET MEDIAN 3100 & 3200 BLOCKS/NORTH SIDE OF 33RD

STREET

Scope:

‐ Curb replacements, tree pit improvements, and electrical installations continue on the north side of 33rd Street, and on the west side of St. Paul street in front of the bookstore.

‐ Installation of new St. Paul Street median.

Impacts:

‐ All sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians.  All businesses will be accessible.

‐ No parking lane on the west side or along the median of St. Paul Street.

‐ Two thru travel lanes will remain on St. Paul Street for southbound traffic.

‐ St. Paul Street northbound service lane and east side parking lane will be available.

‐ No parking along the north side of 33rd Street during this phase. All travel lanes on 33rd Street will remain open.

MID‐AUGUST 2019 to OCTOBER 2019

Construction Duration: 2 Months

PHASE 3: 33RD STREET SOUTH SIDE/NE CORNER

Scope:

‐ Curb replacements, tree pit improvements, and electrical installations on the south side of 33rd Street, as well as the NE corner of the 33rd Street/St. Paul Street intersection.

‐ Installation of new crosswalk across Charles Street at 33rdStreet.

‐ Final paving of St. Paul Street to occur at the end of this phase

Impacts:

‐ All sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians.  All businesses will be accessible.

‐ No parking on the north or south sides of 33rd Street. All travel lanes on 33rd Street will remain open.

‐ All St. Paul Street travel lanes are available.

‐ No parking along the NE corner of the 33rd Street/St. Paul Street intersection.

OCTOBER 2019 to NOVEMBER 2019

Construction Duration: 2 Months

PHASE 4: 33RD STREET MEDIAN

Scope:

‐ New median installation on 33rd Street.

‐ Completion of final traffic signal installations and programming

Impacts:

‐ All sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians.  All businesses will be accessible.

‐ No parking on the north or south sides of 33rd Street.

‐ All travel lanes on 33rd Street will remain open.

DECEMBER 2019

Construction Duration: 1/2 Month

PROJECT COMPLETE

PHASE 5: 33RD STREET FINAL PAVING

Scope:

‐ Final paving of 33rd Street.

Impacts:

‐ All sidewalks will be open for pedestrians.

‐ All travel and parking lanes on St. Paul Street and 33rdStreet are available.
