LABS
LAB 6.4.1 Basic Inter-VLAN Routing
Instructions for Lab 6.4.1 starting on page 249 of your lab manual. - Use the 3500 series
switches for this lab. Answer all questions listed in your lab book. After configuring physical
topology and programming switches and router and PCs show your instructor your finished lab
before continuing to next lab. IMPORTANT: Notes for this lab. The WEB/TFTP server can be a
plain old PC. VTP Domain names are Case-Sensitive!! Use crossover cables to connect switches
together. Due to equipment considerations, this lab should be done with a partner. Do NOT try
and ping the switches from the PCs. It will fail. Pings between PCs on different VLANs should
now be successful if you have setup your router and switches correctly. The switches should be
able to ping each other on their management VLAN ip addresses!
