C. Is Jesus God Himself ?
Since Jesus is one with God, and the incarnation of God, he may be understood to be God’s second self;
1) Jn 14:9,10Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you do not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me?...”
but he is not God Himself.
- The world of creation is the substantial unfolding of the SS and HS of a perfected person.
Principle of Creation
2) Jn 1:10 --- the world was made through Jesus.
He was in the world, and the world was made through him...
Jesus may be said to be the creator, but Jesus is not the Creator Himself.

3) Jn 8:58Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”
With respect to the providence of restoration, Jesus is the ancestor of Abraham because, as the one to give rebirth to all humankind, he came in the position of their first ancestor.
Since his resurrection, Jesus has beeninterceding for us before God (Rom 8:34).
Jesus = God Himself
Jesus cried out to God on the cross (Mt 27:46).
Jesus was tempted by Satan (Mt 4:1).
Jesus called God “Father” (Jn 17:1).
