Welcome to Christ Church We are glad that God led you to CUMC to worship today! Our mission is “To provide meaningful worship, Bible teaching, evangelistic outreach, and Christian fellowship. For these ministries to take place, the people who are Christ Church must have servant hearts, striving to do God’s will and not our own.” May God bless you, speak to you, and work out His purpose in your life.
Prayer Requests: We believe in the power of prayer. If you would like to have a prayer concern lifted up during worship, please complete a Prayer Request on the Connection Card found in the bulletin and place in the offering plate. Your request will be printed in the bulletin the following week.

MESSAGE FROM SCOTT MCKENZIE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN MINISTRY STRATEGIST
Congratulations on this momentous day for Christ United Methodist Church. As the apostle Paul said to the Philippians,
I thank my God every time I remember you, 4 constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, 5because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now. 6I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:3-6
The elimination of your debt is not the end but instead the beginning of new opportunities for ministry and mission. As you paid off your debt with gratitude, prayer and faith; I now pray you will embrace God’s call to a new and exciting future with the same gratitude, prayer and faith. Thank you for the privilege of walking with you on this wonderful journey. God bless you. Scott McKenzie

NEXT STEP Burning of the Mortgage
Today! May 31st All Worship Services
District Superintendent Dr. Charlie Salisbury will be sharing the message as we celebrate the retiring of the mortgage debt of $248,500.00. Before the campaign we would have paid off this debt in 10-15 years. But with the faithfulness of Christ Church and
trusting in God’s plan, we have accomplished this goal in 1 1/2 years! Praise God! Thank you for your faithfulness!
Then the people rejoiced because they
had offered so willingly, for they made
their offering to the Lord with their
whole heart.

FAITH PROMISE MONTH
May is Faith Promise Month. This is our means of financing our Mission outreach. All the missionaries and the local mission organizations that Christ Church supports go through Faith Promise. For any newcomers to Christ Church and to those who have used Faith Promise before, let this be a reminder of what Faith Promise is: It is not a place for you to direct your regular tithe. It is giving beyond your tithe – give to Christian Missions. The Faith Promise cards need to be filled out after you have prayerfully sought the Lord’s will concerning your Faith Promise. However God directs you to fill out your card understand that you are trusting Him to supply that financial need, and when He supplies it, you give it to him for mis-sions. God may have already given your Faith Promise offering to you. In many in-stances you may not know where the money is coming from. Simply trust God for it, and he will supply it in a myriad of ways.
During the month of May you have the opportunity to fill out your Faith Promise card for the 2015-2016 Faith Promise year. Eventually all the Faith Promise cards need to get in the hands of Pastor Doug. Please remember that Pastor Doug is the only person who sees the cards. At the end of May, he will total the amounts on the cards so that we know how much we have to work with for our Mission out-reach. Once you have turned your Faith Promise card in, no one will ask you about it again. It’s solely between you and God. The Faith Promise Mission Outreach this year will run from June 1, 2015 to May 31, 2016. Extra Faith Promise Cards are on the Welcome Tables. Completed cards can be given to Pastor Doug.
