STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: A team ofEducation Department onWednesday placed nine edu-cation employees under sus-pension and charge-sheeted10 others in Poonch District .

In order to ensure punctu-ality and work culture in theschool CEO Poonch Ch. LalHussain constituted teamscomprising Principal, HoDand senior lecturers to super-vise and monitor academic aswell as administrative affairof 100 per cent schools of thedistrict. Three separate for-mats have been speciallydesigned to evaluate the effi-ciency of individual official,institution and implementa-tion of Mid-Day-Mealscheme in the schools.

On the report of inspectionBodh Raj Sr. Teacher GPSNari Tanda has been placedunder suspension pendingenquiry. As per the specificreport received by this officeBodh Raj Sr. Teacher is run-ning a business shop atPoonch and often remains

absent from the school withthe connivance of Mohd ArifTeacher GPS Nari Tanda.Mohd Arif teacher has alsobeen placed under suspen-sion for keeping the punctu-ality register open to provideundue shelter to the earringTeacher Bodh Raj. RakeshThapa Teacher GPS NariTanda also has been placedunder suspension for unau-thorised absence from duty.

At GMS Jabrain Manjhari,Farooq Ahmed Tr. and MohdAslam Master have beenplaced under suspension fornot maintaining the recordand not preparing the Mid-Day Meal as per menu. In Zone Mankote MumtazAhmed teacher MS ChowkiSagra was found unauthoris-edly absent and placed undersuspension pending enquiry.In PS Lambi Dab the schoolwas found closed at 12:00noon, Janghir Alam teacherand Ruqia Bi teacher werealso placed under suspensionpending enquiry.

MENDHAR: Addressingthe aspirations of the veter-ans who have dedicatedtheir life in service of thecountry, Romeo Forceorganised a veterans rallyand medical outreach cam-paign at Mendhar. The aimof the rally was to providean avenue for redressal ofgrievances of not only vet-erans, but also Veer Narisand widows regardingissues such as pension ben-efits and also to providecentralised medical facili-ties to enable them to livetheir lives with dignity andpride.

The rally was addressedby Lt Gen K.H Singh,GOC, White Knight Corps.Veterans form a large seg-ment of the population inPoonch and RajouriDistricts and nearly a1,000 of them and theirdependents participated in

the rally. The civil admin-istration was very forth-coming in extending theirsupport to resolve issues ifany of the veterans.

To provide further welfarefacilities a medical out-reach campaign was also

organised for their benefit,which included dental spe-cialists, lady gynecologistand ophthalmologist.Representatives from vari-ous Defence Services /Army Departments likeController of Defence

Accounts (Pension),Allahabad, Ex-ServicemenContributory HealthScheme, Director Generalof Resettlement, ZilaSainik Welfare Board, JAKLI and JAK RIF Recordsparticipated in the rallyand assisted the veterans,Veer Naris and widows inresolving their problemsrelated to pension benefitsand Ex-ServicemenContributory HealthScheme.

Veer Naris were also facil-itated to commemorate thegreat sacrifice made bymartyrs in the service ofthe nation. Wheelchairsand other mobility equip-ment were provided to dif-ferently abled and elderlyveterans and their depend-ents.

A cultural programmewas also organised whichwas performed by the localschool children.

According to a report, onspecific information, a policeparty led by SHO BanihalInspr Tariq Naik, under thesupervision of SDPO BanihalMohd Rafiq and SSPRamban Randeep Kumar,laid a Naka at Old Toll postBanihal on NHW 44.

During checking, an AutoTata Magic bearing registra-tion No.JK14A 7426 was sig-naled to stop. On which thedriver of the vehicle tried toescape by accelerating vehiclebut police party chased themat a distance and stoppedthem.

During checking, threebovines were found loaded inthe vehicle in a cruel manner.On this, driver of the vehiclenamely Mushtaq AhmedKhan son of Fatta Khan res-ident of Zihaal Banihal wasarrested and a case underFIR No. 66/2015 section 188RPC 3 PCA Act 4was regis-tered against him at PoliceStation Banihal.

On the directions of SSPRajouri, Dr. Mohd HaseebMughal, with the aim to savethe precious lives of humanbeing in frequent road acci-dents, drive against the useof pressure horn prohibitedby the Supreme Court whichcause noise pollution in andaround the hospitals, colleges, schools, court complex and religious placeswas launched.

Rajouri Police started aspecial drive against thetraffic violators/use of pres-sure horns in all parts ofRajouri District on dailybasis.
