CBY Youth Department invites all 3rd-6th grade children, parents, and grandparents for Sundae Shavuot learning with Rabbi Pruzansky and Rabbi Zahtz! Thursday June 1, (2nd day of Shavout) from 4:45-5:45 pm. Dairy dinner and ice cream will be served. Celebrate Yom Tov and make your own Sundaes!

1st-3rd Grade Shabbaton - Join friends and group leaders for end of year shabbaton on June 10th - Parshat Beha'alotcha filled with ruach, games and great prizes. Cost: $18 by June 7th, after June 7th $22. Walking groups will be provided for all families registered by June 7th.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS This Shabbat, May 27, at 6:50pm at Keter Torah, Rabbi Steven Weil will speak on "Religious Schizophrenia: The Unity of the Decalogue." Bnei Akiva Snif this Shabbat from 6pm-7pm. Do you know any teenagers • who are looking for an amazing summer experience? • who want to make a difference in people’s lives? • who want to learn about their Jewish heritage? • who would like to receive a $500 stipend? The Hebrew Home at Riverdale is accepting applications for their L’Dor V’Dor Summer Internship, an innovative, fun and meaningful four-week program for Jewish teenagers. Interns volunteer at the Hebrew Home, connect with residents, and attend educational seminars & workshops. L’Dor V’Dor will be held from July 5 – August 4, Monday-Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Participants are selected on the basis of their application, interview, and references. Those who complete all program requirements will receive a $500 stipend. Rabbi Dr. Alex Mondrow, middle school psychologist & teacher, will deliver a five-week series of classes on Thursday mornings covering topics at the intersection of Torah & psychology, & how to frame psychological growth in Torah & parenting language, & a discussion of different experiences like anger, forgiveness, & happiness through a psychological & Torah lens. Rabbi Moshe Taragin, RAM at Yeshivat Har Etzion, will be giving the Legal Holiday shiur on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29 at 8:50am. Topic: Rav Amital's Perspectives on the Six Day War and Our Return to Yerushalayim Announcing: The Third Annual Rinat Yisrael/Beth Sholom Joint Learning Program on June 3: We will once again participate in a highly engaging session of joint learning with our neighbors at Congregation Beth Sholom. This year's topic is "Torah - Ours or the World's?" which raises compelling questions pertaining to universalism and particularism. The session will begin at 5:00pm at Congregation Rinat Yisrael. New Orthodox Retiree Association - TORA (Teaneck Orthodox Retiree Association) is in the process of being formed. The purpose will be to arrange and publicize activities for retirees (mostly daytime) - for example, shiurim, lectures, discussion groups, sports, hikes, card or other games, arts, outings, etc. Some such activities already exist at the Rodda Center or individual shuls, others might be developed. This is not exclusively Teaneck - residents of Bergenfield, Fairlawn, Englewood and other local towns are also welcome to join (as are non-Orthodox).
