• Experiments for it started in the 1800’s.• Progress was slow.• Meant to find another way to communicate.• To persuade ,inform and entertain.• Has 7 types of broadcastings.• Commercial, Cable, Public, Satellite, Closed Circuit, Video

• Regular color telecast began in 1953.• Sometimes called “the device that brings the world

home.”• Screens were only 7-10 inches long between 1926 and

1989.
