In 1721, Johann Sebastian Bach presented a collection of 6 original works to the Margrave of Brandenburg. With all their exuberance, variety, and ingenuity, the Brandenburg Concertos continue to delight us in the 21st century. In May 2018 we are excited to present all 6 of these brilliant concertos on one program performed on period instruments. With an array of superb artists joining our core ensemble, this program promises to be a highlight of the region’s performing arts year.
But, that is just one program in BCOC’s extraordinary season of Baroque music! Our season also features the kaleidoscopic music of Venice, the genius of Arcangelo Corelli, and a wondrous tapestry of odes to the muses who ignite our imaginations.
4 alluring programs, 11 exciting performances, and 6 attractive venues – our 2017-18 subscription season offers the exceptional joys of live Baroque music performed on period instruments. Join us…and be inspired!
