Process of exchanging information, ideas, thoughts, feelings and emotions through speech, signals, writing, or behaviour.
Good Communication allows to-o Express thoughts, ideas, feelings.o Creating awareness.o To fulfil goal.o Highlight issues.
Sender(encoder) encodes a message and then using a medium/channel sends it to the receiver (decoder) who decodes the message and after processing information, sends back appropriate feedback/reply using a medium/channel.
Form of communication in which message is transmitted verbally; communication is done by word of mouth (Oral ) or a piece of writing (Written).
In verbal communication remember the acronym KISS (keep it short and simple).
To deliver the right message, think from your receiver’s point of view-
Would he understand the message? How it would sound on the other side of the table?
Anything that emanates from the mouth.
It includes face-to-face conversations, speech, telephonic conversation, video, radio, television, voice over internet.
Influenced by pitch, volume, speed and clarity of speaking.

Internal Purpose- Memos, reports, bulletins, job descriptions, employee manuals, and electronic mail.
External Purpose- Email, Web sites, letters, proposals, faxes, postcards, contracts, advertisements.

Sending or receiving of wordless messages.
It includes gestures, body language, posture, tone of voice or facial expressions.
It is all about the body language of speaker.
It helps receiver in interpreting the message received. Often, nonverbal signals reflects the situation more accurately than verbal messages.
