LocationTAMA@30 Maha Sambaralu

In 1981 Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta (TAMA) emerged to fulfill the needs of Telugu community in Atlanta and gave a sense direction and defined the goals. TAMA, now known for its unity, dedication to propagating the Telugu Culture from its inception is turning 30, a cause for celebration and excitement. Telugu people in the Metro Atlanta area have not only grown in numbers, but have chosen diverse fields, and continued their excellence. It was initially the doctors and engineers, but now you name any major profession there is a significant representation from the Telugu Community. Our pre-dominance in the IT field cannot be missed. It is appropriate we celebrate this thirty-year success story and rededicate ourselves to continue on the path of innovation and creativity. On this wonderful occasion, we will be coming together to meet with family and friends, business partners, young and elderly, i.e. as many Telugus including our children and their children.

Everyone will have lots of fun, and can relish the delicious Andhra style food and enjoy rich cultural

programs presented by our local talent. Several visiting film celebrities, singers and comedians f rom the Telugu film industry will galvanize the evening.

Dr. Purandeswari Daggubati, Minister of State, HRD, Govt. of India will be the Chief Guest. More political leaders from Andhra Pradesh as well as the American leaders will be among us to lend credence

fields and served our community. The keynote a n d o t h e r s p e a ke rs , honorees will give us enough food for thought and would do us proud. An occasion, none of us should miss.

With more than 50 stalls the exhibition will be a place to spend a considerable amount of your time shopping for jewelry, clothes, gifts, handicrafts, household, beauty, entertainment products, and various services including your favorite non-profit organizations.

The special exhibit on Telugu l a n g u a g e a n d c u l t u r e , activities and depiction of TAMA for the last 30 years is compelling to visit with both young and old.
