Customer ExamplesSupporting the customer’s growth with additional investments
As a testament to Agility’s strong commitment to our customers, additional investments were made
to support a customer when they established a “green fi eld” manufacturing plant in Bahrain as part
of its expansion plan. Agility built additional warehousing facilities in Bahrain and expanded our
transportation fl eet to support the grocery manufacturing and processing conglomerate’s increased
production. To minimize production stoppages at the plant, Agility customized the warehouse op-
erations to meet the customer’s specifi c manufacturing and transportation requirements, and re-
engineered their supply chain to better manage inventories of raw materials through to the fi n-
ished product. As a result, the customer was able to meet its production volume targets and better
respond to fl uctuating market demand while optimizing transportation lead times in the Gulf Co-
operation Council (GCC) region, especially when sales built up during the in pre-Ramadan period.
