Multisurface workflows:
NEW Multiblend
Key features Replaces n-sided blend
Fills an enclosed gap from
three or more input edges
Control boundary continuity
and internal structure of the
surface
Technical surfacing

Multisurface
workflows:
MultiBlend
Edge split type
Technical surfacing Parameter Places the surface boundaries in
the middle of the curve
Arc length Places the surface boundaries in
the middle of the chord
Flexure Similar to Curvature but adds
additional Math properties
User-defined Manually control the position of
the edges

Multisurface
workflows:
MultiBlend
Star point
Modification
Technical surfacing Automatic Alias automatically places location
of star point
View plane is defined by star point and is
perpendicular to the camera view
Normal along a line in the direction of the
normal
Planar defined by the plane of the current
star point and normal direction

Multisurface workflows: MultiBlend
Other options
Technical surfacing
Edge continuity – G0 to G2
Seam continuity – G1 or G2
Shape factor – Default to 1; similar to flow control in other tools. It controls the influence of
edge normal inside the multi blend.
Cross variation – Default off or to longitudinal variation to create lowest degree surface
Longitudinal variation moves control point parallel to the edge
Cross variation manipulates distance of control point to edge
Inner curvature – This only operates if in G1 Seam Continuity is set.
If working with more than five edges, this should be set.
Star point modification – moves star point
Automatic – Alias chooses best option. No control for user
Planar – user moves start point defined by the plane of the current star point and normal
direction
Normal – user moves start point along a line in the direction of the normal
View – user moves similar to planar but plane is defined by star point and is perpendicular to
the camera view

Multisurface workflows:
Multisurface draft
Key features Build clean flange off lightweight
curve
Create flange from curve on surface
New length mode
