Health & Safety
When Terex team members and visitors enter the
Coventry facility, safety is paramount. Terex is very
proud of its safety record: our tools, equipment, work
practices, workspaces and materials are selected,
designed and used with safety being uppermost in
our minds. At the beginning of the factory tour, you
will be given a safety briefing and provided with the
appropriate personal protective equipment including
hard hat, hi-visibility jacket, safety glasses, ear plugs
and protective boots.
About the Facility
With a factory floor area of more than 30,000 m²
which is equivalent to roughly four football pitches and
approximately 500 team members, there is a lot to see at
the Coventry factory.
At Terex, we’re all about continuous improvement
(or Kaizen, if you are familiar with Lean terminology).
You will hear us talk a lot about this during the tour
as we are constantly researching and implementing
smarter, more efficient ways of working in order to
better serve our customers. We remove the muda
(waste), muri (overburden) and mura (unevenness)
in our processes to provide a smooth and stable
production system and a high quality finished product.
Tell us what you think
After your visit we’d like to hear from you. If you’d like
to know more about Terex or share your thoughts with
us about your factory experience, please get in touch
