Invitation
I am very pleased to invite you to the 2nd Asian Congress on Schizophre-nia Research which will be held from 11-12 (Friday-Saturday) February, 2011 in Seoul, Korea.
Schizophrenia has been one of the most important leading topics in psychiatry research worldwide. With a rapid increase of socioeconomic
power of Asia, psychiatry research in Asia including schizophrenia has made remarkable prog-ress lately. This is the best time for communication and cooperation within Asian researchers. The Asian Workshop on Schizophrenia Research was organized in 2009 to establish network of investigators and facilitate schizophrenia researches in Asia. The 1st Workshop was successfully held on February 2009 in Osaka, Japan, which was hosted by Prof. Takeda, Osaka University. The founding members agreed to have workshop biennially.
Following the 1st workshop, the latest developments and important issues related to schizophre-nia research in Asia will be covered in the 2nd Congress in 2011. Attendees will share and discuss current interests especially focusing on the Asian regional situation. The future of this Congress will be elaborated in detail.
Seoul is the capital of South Korea and one of the most famous metropolitan cities, where his-torical tradition and modern culture coexist. You may enjoy interesting experiences in a unique dy-namic city, Seoul. I am looking forward to welcoming you to Seoul in 2011.
