Prospectus  -­‐  Art  Sale  2016  October  1st  –  10th  

19  Hulfish  St.  at  Palmer  Square,  Princeton,  NJ  Who  can  participate?  The  first  50  GSWS  members  that  reply  may  participate  in  the  sale.    ONLINE  SIGNUP:  Complete  the  volunteer  registration  form  and  payment  via  PayPal  on  the  GSWS  website  MAIL  REGISTRATION:  Complete  registration  form,  include  check,  and  mail  to:  Judy  Hummer  535  Gregory  Ave.,  Bridgewater,  NJ  08807  EVERYONE  MUST  BRING  TO  RECEIVING  a  completed  Art  Sale  Inventory  Form,  which  is  included  in  this  prospectus.    What  can  be  sold?  Original  artwork  only  (no  prints):  watercolor,  oil,  pastel,  mixed  media,  collage  etc.  are  allowed.  Only  paintings  properly  labeled  and  presented  will  be  accepted.  Each  artist  may  submit:      .  Framed:  1  large  (no  larger  than  40”  including  frame)  or  2  smaller  framed  paintings  (no  larger  than  24’”  including  frame)    ·∙  Portfolio:  Up  to  12  paintings,  maximum  size  of  a  painting  is  size  15”x  22”  with  backing,  your  own  professional  looking  canvas  or  wood  presentation  stand  (no  sharing).  Only  works  on  paper  and  clayboard  no  thicker  than  1/8”  may  be  included  in  the  stand.  All  artwork  must  be  in  a  clear  plastic  art  bag  or  shrink-­‐wrapped    ·∙  Table  Top:  2  tabletop  paintings  (no  larger  than  14”  including  frame)  these  are  smaller  pieces  that  have  standing  frames  or  small  easels  for  display  on  shelves  and  counter  tops.      

Please  price  your  work  reasonably  if  you  want  it  to  be  sold.  All  artwork  must  be  priced  under  $1,000  GSWS  has  the  right  to  reject  ANY  art  that  is  not  presented  properly  or  does  not  follow  the  requirements  

 Replenishing  art:  Artists  are  encouraged  to  replenish  their  work  as  it  sells.  To  maintain  an  accurate  inventory,  artists  may  not  restock  without  GSWS  approval  and  your  inventory  list  updated    What  are  the  costs?  The  entry  fee  is  $25.00.    Check  payable  to  GSWS  or  online  via  PayPal  20%  Commission  -­‐  10%  of  sales  will  be  used  by  GSWS  to  cover  costs  associated  with  the  sale  and  10%  of  sales  will  be  donated  to  Good  Grief,  a  local  charity,      Volunteering:  You  must  volunteer  to  work  to  participate  in  the  sale.  Complete  the  volunteer  registration  form  in  this  prospectus  and  mail  to  Judy  Hummer  or  complete  the  Art  Sale  2016  volunteer  form  on  the  GSWS  website.  We  will  try  to  honor  your  preferences.  Judy  Hummer  will  contact  you  to  confirm  your  assignment.      

What  are  the  important  dates?  ·∙  Deadline  to  register:    Sunday,  September  11.  2016      ·∙  Receiving:  Thursday,  September  29th  from  3:00  -­‐7:30  PM.  Bring  your  artwork  properly  labeled  with  your  name,  title  and  price.  You  must  bring  a  completed  inventory  form.  Bios  or  business  cards  can  be  included  in  your  portfolio  bin.      ·∙Hours  of  Art  Sale:    Monday,  Tuesday,  Wednesday,  10:00am  -­‐  6:00pm      /  Thursday  and  Friday  10:00am  -­‐  8:30pm  Saturday,  10:00am  -­‐  6:00pm          /  Sunday,  Noon  -­‐  5:00pm  

All  reasonable  care  will  be  taken  with  submitted  artwork.  GSWS  is  not  responsible  for  damaged,  stolen,  or  lost  work.  There  is  a  $10.00  a  day  storage  fee  after  the  sale  ends.
