Reuse Project
One day in biology classI am going to do
the best presentation
picture for this lesson
Recycled paper
Oh well…
Oh, no! I smudged the picture
But it’s only one piece of
paper, nothing bad will happen.
Don’t throw it away you can reuse
it.
Well, what can we do about it?
If everybody thought the
same, it would be
disastrous.
We could
recycle the
paper.
It will be a good idea to collect all the
used paper we can find.
Teacher, could we
make recycled paper?
On our way to the lab
Of course! I’ll show you how to
make it! Let’s go to the laboratory.
In the labThese are the materials we used:
A Large recipientA small sieve and some large spoonsSieves
A BlenderUsed paper
Cloths
Procedure First we filled the recipient half-full with water
Then we tore the paper and put it in the recipient with water
After that we blended all the paper
Next we made sure there were no big pieces of paper
Later we put the paper-bits on the square sieve and squeezed the water out with a spoonFinally we put the paper on the cloth, left it to dry and waited…
And now that we have
finished, what can we do with our
recycled paper?
We could make a photo
album out of it…
Excellent!
“E.J.E.” Project
We also reused materials to produce new things
“E.J.E.” Project We collected plastic tops which were sold to a recycling company and profits were given to help sick children
Recycled Art
We made art with paper: We created Paul
We did a survey to figure out the students´recycling habits.
Recycling survey
These are the results
The most recycled materials are plastic and batteries.
25% of the students collaborate on sorting out their household wastes.
Most of the students are able to identify different recycling bins and know how to recycle.
35 % of the students become aware of the importance of recycling to help the environment.
30 % of the students think they can improve recycling at school using recycled paper.
Most of the voters don’t know the difference between reusing, recycling and reducing.
Finally…
A piece of recycling advice!
