Working with Associated Wholesale Groceries, MJM created documents to convert a portion of a vacant Wal-Mart to a new full service grocery store in Wynne, AR. MJM also created a prototype for Associated Wholesale Groceries that incorporates service, convenience and economy. Th e Crossroads Market concept off ers an open, friendly store with an intuitive merchandise layout. Careful selection of fi nish materials and mechanical equipment resulted in a low maintenance and highly energy effi cient store. Staff utilization is maximized by positioning the checkout at the entry/exit points. To make the customer’s shopping experience more esthetically pleasing, the receiving and loading areas are screened and covered.
