MAP  seeks  qualified  students  to  participate  in  the  first  excavation  season  of  a   five-­year   international   archaeological   project   at   the   site   of   Podere  Marzuolo   (Tuscany,   Italy)   where   evidence   of   Roman   period   ceramic  production   (1st   c   BCE/CE)   provides   a   unique   opportunity   to   investigate  technical   innovation   ‘in   action’,   challenging   traditional   approaches   to   the  ancient  rural  economy.      Students  will  receive  a  comprehensive  field  experience,  including  hands-­on  training   in   excavation   techniques,   data   collection,   spatial   archaeometric  data  acquisition  and  analysis,  and  object  conservation  and  study.      PROGRAM  FEE:  $1,000  for  4  weeks       NO  EXPERIENCE  REQUIRED    Contact  Dr.  Rhodora  Vennarucci  (rhodorav@uark.edu)  for  more  information
