• At the high school level CUSD ranks 1st in mathematics, reading and writing proficiency in comparison to school districts larger than 1,000 students.

Effective Communication• 91% of parents surveyed in the CUSD community survey administered by WestGroup Research gave their youngest child's school an A or B letter grade (Nationally 24%).
• 87% of parents reported that communication was above average from CUSD schools.

Organizational Recognition• Basha High was awarded the AzSEF State Championship for the Senior Division. In addition, Basha High teacher Michael McKelvy was named AzSEF Arizona Science Teacher of the Year.
• Arizona Department of Education ranks CUSD 2nd in AP Excellence for their access and performance in their AP programs.

Alliances and Partnerships• In FY 2012 CUSD garnered more than $3.3 million dollars in outside contributions.
• In FY 2012 CUSD received matching grants of $52,369.
• During calendar year 2012 CUSD had tax credit donations of approximately $2.3 million dollars, up from $2.1 million in 2011.
