CBS’s The Talk, the first daily networktalk show to premiere in daytime in nearly10 years, has been renewed for the 2011-2012 season!
The Talk, hosted by Julie Chen, SaraGilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly RobinsonPeete and Leah Remini, examines topicalevents and contemporary issues throughthe eyes of five female hosts who are allmothers.

Since its premiere in October when itreplaced the daytime drama, As the WorldTurns, The Talk has averaged 2.21 millionviewers, 1.1/06 in women 25-54 and 0.8/05in women 18-49. The Talk has seen its ratings

The United Chambers of Commerce ofthe San Fernando Valley held their 2011installation dinner and awards ceremony inJanuary at the Airtel Hotel and honoredCBS Studio Center as the recipient of theprestigious Chairman’s Award.
The Studio City Chamber ofCommerce nominated CBSSC to receive aBusiness of the Year Award but once theUCC selection committee reviewed thenomination, they decided to award theStudio with the Chairman’s Award, anaward they reserve for a select few, and donot award every year.
Incoming UCC President John Parkerof Parker Brown, Inc. presented the award,stating a few of the many things that makeCBS Studio Center such a valuable memberof the community.
Accepting the award on behalf ofCBSSC was Joe Soukup, Vice President andGeneral Manager of the Studio. Joethanked Chamber Executive DirectorEsther Walker for nominating the Studioand Sandra Reed-Funnell, ExecutiveAssistant to Studio President MichaelKlausman, for assisting in maintaining theStudio’s connection to the community.
