Standalone Anti-Collision Functions The main features of the Standalone Collision Avoidance Device are listed and detailed below.
Distance measurement Standalone Anti-Collision measures, through the use of radio signals, the distance between itself and other compatible devices such as: other Standalone Anti-Collision, Anti-Collision combined with a Kiwitron ETS system, Anti-Collision Tag.
Pre-alarm threshold Standalone anti-collision is able to recognize the presence of a compatible system in the immediate vicinity at a preset distance during installation. When this situation occurs, the system can activate a signal to the driver via three contact outputs, or via compatible accessories connected to the system.
Alarm threshold Standalone anti-collision is able to recognize the presence of a compatible system in the immediate vicinity at a different distance (compared to the pre-alarm threshold) preset during installation. When this situation occurs, the system can activate a warning to the driver via three contact outputs, or via compatible accessories properly connected to the system.
Driver Exclusion In case the driver of the machine should be equipped with Tag Collision Avoidance, the Standalone Collision Avoidance system is designed to exclude it at the driver's request through one of the digital inputs of the system, or through compatible accessories properly connected to the system.

Maintenance
Recharge the battery Anti-collision Tag is equipped with a non-removable rechargeable battery. Wireless charging should only be done using the Kiwitron wireless charging stations provided.
1. Connect the charging station to the power supply. Use the Kiwitron power supply supplied with the Tag Anti-Collision Tag.
2. Place the charging station on a flat surface. 3. Place the Tag Anti-Collision Tag on the charging station with the indicator
light facing up. Make sure that you place the Tag Anti-Collision Tag in the correct position on the 4 feet.
4. Tag Anti-Collision Tag should start charging a few seconds after it is placed on the wireless charging station.
When Tag Anti-Collision Tag is on the charging station, the lamp will light red or green depending on the battery charge status.
Wireless charging details ● Wireless charging uses magnetic induction to charge Anti-collision Tags.
Do not place anything between the Anti-Collision Tags and the charging station. Magnetic media, cases, or other objects placed between the Anti-Collision Tags and the charging station may reduce performance or damage parts.
● Tags may become slightly warm during charging. If the battery becomes too hot, the software may protect the battery by preventing further charging. Tags will continue to recharge when the temperature drops. Try moving the Anti-Collision Tags and the charging station to a cooler location.
Battery Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles and may need to be replaced. The Tag Anti-Collision Tag battery cannot be replaced by the customer; replacement can only be performed by Kiwitron's service department.
Do not attempt to replace the Anti-Collision Tag battery.

Installation
Anti-collision receiver The anti-collision antenna must be installed in the centre (in each direction) of the truck. The collision avoidance system measures the distance between the receiver and the pedestrian tag (or other antenna receiver) so it is very
important that the distance measured is the distance from the centre of the truck. The ideal position is normally in the upper area of the front glass. If the installation position interferes with the driver's view, you can move the driver behind the rearview mirror or in front of the steering wheel.
The safety and view of the driver must NEVER be affected.
Do not place the antenna too close to metal parts as it may adversely affect the system.
