ANANSI
•One of the most important characters of West African and Caribbean folklore.
•He is a spider, but often acts and appears as a man.
•The Anansi tales are believed to have originated in the Ashanti people in Ghana.

Summary
•Anansi is a folk character originated from Ghana. Ghana is an African country. The story Anansi, the clever one is about a “smart” husband that sought to find ways to find food for his family. In the end he came up with “clever” ideas that made him meet his “Death”. Finally, his greed gave him misery. He harmed his whole tribe and beg not to think of ways to save them because of his lack of courage.
