''TELL ME THE TALES THAT I DELIGHTED TO HEAR- LONG LONG AGO …
SING ME THE SONGS THAT TO ME WERE SO DEAR-LONG LONG AGO, LONG AGO…'
Long Ago there was Christ but he still lives in the heart of millions and so there is waiting for
Christmas. But the Christmas preparation begins at AIHM with THE CAKE MIXING
CEREMONY.
CAKE AND BAKES do link us to the beautiful cozy belonging to a World where sharing is the
priority. Yes, it was almost a month to celebrate Christ's Birth and AIHM was again ready with the raisins, brandy, rum and
ingredients that make the cake taste 'CHRISTMAS'.
The Ground Floor Restaurant once again became a sociable platform for
Christmas fervor. A large gathering of Management, Faculty and Students went
crazy with mixing the cake for its eventful happening after sometime. The
Traditional Chef Caps, Coats, Gloves were the main attractions amidst the
beautiful Christmas decorations where a student Santa jingled his bell to greet
the members.
Then amidst music the rum and brandy, whiskey and wine went out of its captivity
to sink deep into the heart of the resins, cinnamon, clove, cashew, black currant
and walnut and other elaborate ingredients in order to disperse its flavor to make
what we all eagerly await for as CHRISTMAS DELICACY-THE CHRISTMAS
CAKE.
THUS WENT -'THE TRADITIONAL METHOD TO SPEAD CAMARIDIE AND GOOD-WILL AT AIHM.'
CAKE MIXING CEREMONY
The extravaganza of life is the spicy menu clicked at the table with supplements
of chilly, flavored and colored food, the entertaining music to suit the mood. All
this actually indicates to the Punjabi Cuisine that delights every heart and has
thus reached from the Punjabi Hearths to the Heart of Millions all round the
world.
The Food Production Department at AIHM, Haldwani went miles to invite Chef
Sidakpreet Singh for a visit to the Institute to organize a workshop and inspire
the students to go for a Punjabi Themed Lunch at the admirably constructed
Ground Floor Restaurant that otherwise harnesses the resourceful entities of
Chiefdom. A quirky innovative ambience with the Punjabi dishes like Butter
Chicken, Paneer Makhani, Pindi Channa, Sarsoo Ka Saag, Makki Ki Roti and
the Punjabi Kadhi and loads of knowledge through a workshop dominated the
talk of the Institute for two consecutive days as students clothed in the Punjabi
dress served the mouth watering dishes. Innovation with authentic, colorful and
opulent decors and artifacts revealed a step forward idea towards preparing
students to the 'Theme World Concept' in promotion.

“Bharat ka rehne wala hu, Bharat ke baat sunata hu”
While the soldiers lay safety for the motherland, its laws frame boundaries that advocate
justice, free and fair living. That's what the architect Dr. Bhimraou Ambedkar designed and stIndia designated as Republic Day. The 71 National Day of utmost importance to India was
celebrated in Amrapali Group of Institutes in a customary way. The uniqueness lay in the
thoughts that bind all for a few minutes to contemplate on the Universal Language of being a
part of a country, rich in legacy and marching forward. Yes, Indians share the idea of the
song 'Hai preet jaha ke reet sada' …. I pay obligations to my country that professes Love and
Compassion.thOn 26 January, 2020, Amrapali Group of Institutes gathered at its Main
Building Garden to begin the New Year Celebrations and events with Republic Day. The esteemed Chief
Guest Retd.Colonel R C Bhandari and Mrs Bindu Chawla, the Treasurer, unfurled the Tricolor. The National
song was sung by B Ed Students in the presence of the faculty, students and staff members.
The Director Prof MK Pandey, Computer Science and Technology acknowledged the presence of the
Amrapalian's and explained the fundamentals of being Republic to students. He exclaimed that the terms
Democratic, Republic and Secular need to be endorsed in the memory of all especially when the world is moving ahead as
reflected through the lyrics:
jab zero diya mere bharat ne, duniya ko tab ginatee aayee
taaro kee bhasha bharat ne, duniya ko pehale sikhlayee.
Opening the fundamentals of the constitution Prof Pandey embellished the thoughts of integrity, love, success and
empowerment among the students and staff of Amrapali Group of Institutes.
The anchor Mr. Nandan Dasila then swiftly took the program forward through the motivating and inspirational speech of Colonel
R C Bhandari, The Chief Guest. He advised the students to abide to the constitution and to spend more time in knowledge based
activities. He encouraged mass participation during National Events as a mark of respect to the country and professed the utility
of value in life. Then it was patriotism sung and refreshments and the event culminated.

“A smart-phone may turn out to be an e-toy designed for the lonely inner child hidden in
each and every one of us, why not use it to gain knowledge!”
An awareness drive towards the use of mobile phone was organized as an interactive
session at Amrapali Group of Institutes, Haldwani at the advent of 2020.
Mr Ganesh, a great speaker and orator from Dainik Jagran, delivered a wonderful session
to the students and faculty who had gathered at AIHM Seminar Hall for the purpose. He
made the students aware of the benefits of using mobile phone and how it becomes a
nuisance. Mr Ganesh told the audience that the correct use of mobile lies in gaining knowledge, getting aware of the current
happenings around the globe and also updating oneself with current news. He even identified the areas where the mobile phone
becomes a nuisance and creates havoc in the life of people. He pointed towards the addiction of mobile and its wasteful aspect of
becoming a toy for playing games that are only deteriorating our personality.
The session became more fruitful with the briefing by Dean Academics Prof Prashant Sharma, who told the students about the
importance of time and how to use mobile phones as an instrument in saving time and not on wasteful activities.

Industrial visits are always an effort to link the gap between classroom learning and
practical exposure. They are aimed to impart practical knowledge to help students gain
realistic information regarding functioning of the Hospitality Industry. Students of AIHM
were taken on an industrial visit to "Tarangi Resort”, RAMNAGAR in February, 2020.
Tarangi is one of the leading and fastest growing properties in Uttarakhand at Corbett
National Park, Ramnagar.
It is a luxury resort with 8 luxury rooms and a pool villa with 2 bedrooms furnished with a
multi-cuisine restaurant, swimming pool, open gym, recreation centre, kid's room, spa
and a conference hall. Tarangi resort has come up with all the resource to cater to
destination weddings with both open and covered venues.
Students visited the resort to familiarize with the actual set up of a hotel amidst natural surroundings. They got a chance to
familiarize with the working of a Hotel and how professionals manage the Hotel. It was a good practical learning session for them
and an excursion too. The beauty of the place lies in its natural surroundings making it a perfect wedding destination.
