American Girl Celebrates 25th Anniversary
American Girl hosted a gala celebrating a quarter century of enhancing young girls’ self-esteem and fostering healthy
mother-daughter relationships Fri, Oct. 18, at 9 a.m. American Girl Retail Store
609 Fifth Avenue at 49th Street, New York, NY held the event.
More than 5,000 participants participated throughout the day

American Girl Recaps Contest Winners’ Biographies
The celebration included a contest for age groups 3-6, 7-9, and 10-12. The contest invited each winner to a free two-day, two-night stay in New York City. Winners also received free passes for themselves and all immediate family members to participate in the American Girl store activities. To enter the contest, children submitted an illustrated short story featuring an American Girl historical doll.

The company generously agreed to donate 50% of the proceeds from sales of the bear to CMN. Every purchase also gifted a sick child with his or her own

American Girl and Children’s Miracle Network teamed up to raise money to give special children a
gift. American Girl offered The Little Bitty Miracle Anniversary Edition Bear and accessories for just
$9.99. The special anniversary promo endsOct. 31, 2013, but American Girl maintains its
partnership with CMN. The company makes other Little Bitty Bear products available and CMN receives
the profits.

$50,000 went directly toward building apediatric play lounge in Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. The play lounge encourages family quality time together. It includes state-of-the-art features so families feel comfortable.
