Clamp circuits added to guarantee the 3.3Vsupplies V3_3D and VSDMMC never becomemore than 2V above V1_8D during start-upor shut-down.
It has been later determined that the clampcircuit on VSDMMC is not sufficient and thePMIC was enhanced to better controlshut-down sequencing. Therefore, theVDSMMC clamp is no longer required. Thepower-down sequence defined in the DataManual must be met.
Sufficient capacitance needed tohold up VMAIN (over 2.7V) for atleast 1ms after power supplyshut off. AM57xx device will bein POR reset. This will allowthe PMIC to properly execute itspower-down sequence.
Circuit needed to detect VPWRINcollapse which can initiate a PMICpower shut-down sequence such as aTPS3808. Please refer to theAM571x IDK EVM for an example. Thecircuit must drive the PMICRESET_IN low to initiate thisshut-down sequence.
