FINAL MESSAGE:
The involved local authorities (regions) should insert now in their next Program documents the recommendations emerged in their case studies underlining the importance of such contributions for the regional laws dealing with this topic.

Mr. Tyrkas provided us with two studies including data, tables and maps available on line only in German:
The first one deals with ecological and socio-economic requirements reflecting the challenges of the Alpine Convention on the population and culture topics (Prof. Bätzing)
The second one is a result of a case study developed by an external expert of the municipality of Grainau. It regards population decrease, socio-economic consequences, the job market conditions and some conclusions for future activities.
