Adworks came to life in 1998 when creative Adam French decided it was time to form a small, energetic design

agency built around ideas. Our background comes from classic graphic design and has evolved over the years

to be as much as home in the digital arena.

Design is about solving problems. For us, that starts with business problems. We pride ourselves with working

for a diverse range of clients from sole traders through to global corporations, always delivering the highest level

of creativity and design solutions.

We constantly strive to produce great work that makes a difference, work that everyone involved in can be

truly proud of. As a result, we enjoy a close relationship with all our clients working across all aspects of their

marketing communications.

Over the years our disciplines have covered packaging, branding, direct mail, exhibition graphics as well as

advertising and of course the broad spectrum of the digital arena. This is backed up with our experienced studio

team and a broad spectrum of contacts, ensuring we always deliver!

Client: Aon plc

Brief: Pensions Conference 2014

Aon plc is the leading global provider of risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage and human capital consulting.

Adworks created the visual identity and support material for this seven venue pension conference roadshow. Each event required

Client: Aon plc

Brief: Protection and Indemnity review

Aon plc is the leading global provider of risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage and human capital consulting.

After a successful pitch against Aon’s roster of agencies, we developed this financial shipping review document being

set a task of, ‘don’t make it too shippy!’ We thought bollards to that and the solution proved to fit the client brief perfectly! Using

distinctive imagery, clean typography and easy to use charts, resulted in a wel received piece of literature.

Page 7: Adworks Creds

Client: Carphone Warehouse plc

Brief: Thai Together - Christmas promotion

Carphone Warehouse charged Adworks with developing this seasonal campaign solution. We needed to create a campaign rewarding

the best performing store over the Christmas period with a trip to Thailand. Ignoring the previous approach of best performing

individuals and concentrating on team work, Adworks developed ‘Thai Together’. Our solution utilised illustration as well as well

chosen imagery that resulted in a very successful festive campaign and one set of staff enjoying an all expenses trip to the far east!

Adworks have recently begun working with Purely Payroll, a boutique recruitment and training company to the payroll industry.

They were already running an e-magazine for the parent company Purely Payroll. They launched a new arm to their business Purely

Global aimed specifically at the global payroll industry. We created a simple but strong identity for the business and followed this up

with our first foray into e-magazine production. It was extremely well received and has now become a bi-monthly on-line publication.

Client: Prologic

Brief: Annual report

Prologic provide an end to end software solution to the fashion retail industry enabling corporations to track every aspect of their

business from raw material through to production, shipping and retail stock levels whether they have 2 stores or 200. We were

asked to create an annual report, which was a straight forward task in itself, but with a diverse range of clients we needed to

avoid showcasing any client by brand. Thoughtful imagery and good typography made this a great fit with the client’s brief.

Page 10: Adworks Creds

Client: Goddess

Brief: Identity and product literature

Goddess already had great products but no real identity to speak of. Their portfolio of products are geared to the female beauty industry..

with the design and creation of their product literature using imagery inspired by the treatment of the featured product.

Client: Aon plc

Brief: Select - Staff benefits programme

Aon plc is the leading global provider of risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage. We created this ‘cherry

Having created the visual identity, we went on to develop an intranet site that linked to a financial calculating portal acting as a ready

reckoner for staff giving instant results based on the criteria they entered. This has developed into an ongoing Aon programme.

Client: Palmers Butchers

Brief: Visual identity and website

Palmers Butchers specialise in catering to the African Caribbean market. The company was very old school and needed to be dragged

kicking and screaming into the 21st century. We managed to steer them away from the stereotypical red and blue pile of sausages

approach! They loved the idea and as soon as the new identity was approved, we moved straight onto the development of their

website, which has since evolved to a full e-commerce buy online site delivering an additional £40k in sales every month!

Cronin’s is a business management consultancy to the fire service. Having first created a visual identity and basic website, our first

task was to develop an invitation/direct mail piece aimed at Chief Fire Officers across the UK. With a relatively small market audience,

resounding success and was indeed the launchpad to Cronin’s securing their initial clients.

to be the answer and the range was launched.

Client: Virgin mobile

Brief: Internal Comms

Of all the network providers, Virgin are widely regarded as the most adventurous or even risqué in their approach to marketing

strategies. They were more than happy to entertain copy lines such as ‘Flog a virgin’ or ‘Fancy a virgin’ as part of the creative solution

aimed at driving Carphone Warehouse sales staff to push the sales of their tariffs. Here are a selection of the sales communication

pieces we were asked to create.
