“Online information and computation has changed all aspects of business and society. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics there will be 488,500 new jobs in computer and information technology professions in the next decade. This is an increase of 12 percent, faster than the average for other occupations. This growth will be driven in part by cloud computing; the collection and storage of big data; more everyday items becoming connected to the Internet, in what is commonly referred to as the “Internet of things”; and the continued demand for mobile computing. According to an Economic Modeling International 2015 report, Arizona STEM jobs will increase 23 percent in the same period and Arizona computing jobs will increase 27 percent. “ Arizona Technology Council, July 7, 2016
