CHANGE FROM THE PUSH-TO-OPEN THROTTLETYPE TO THE PULL-TO-OPEN THROTTLE TYPE

AWARNINGIncorrect selection pr Installation of a remotecontrol may result in sudden and unexpectedloss of control, thus resulting in a seriousaccident.

The remote control box converts the push-to-openthrottle type to the pull-to-open type by changingthrottle arm and throttle drum positions.NOTE:When reinstalling parts, apply the water-resist-ant grease (Yamaha Grease A) to moving partsand contact surfaces of parts.

1. Pinch the wire cover and pull it out to remove.2. Loosen the screws and remove both upper and

Iower back panels.3. Loosen the two screws holding the neutral

throttle lever and remove the throttle drum.Rotate the drum 180°, and retighten the neutralthrottle lever.

CAUTION:Use care so that the roiler does not jump outdue to spring force.

TIGHTENING TORQUE:0.15-0.18 m-kg (1.1-1.3 ft-lb)(T)Throttle drum©Roller

4. Remove the throttle arm for the push-to-openthrottle type, and install the throttle arm for thepull-to-open throttle type.

CAUTION:Replace the cam roiler and bushing attached tothe push-to-open throttle with the bushing andcam roiler of the pull-to-open throttle.

5. Align the main shaft and throttle arm with thegrooves, and align the drive pin with the slot.Then secure the upper back panel with thethree screws.

TIGHTENING TORQUE:0.15-0.18 m-kg (1.1-1.3 ft-lb)

6. Secure the Iower back panel with the twoscrews, and install the wire cover.©Back panel

NOTE:After adjust the remote control box, be sure tocheck for proper Operation.
